Walking into office

I have my best time while walking. Walking into office is my passion.

Not since long, I preferred my car. Sure, like most people I know, driving makes sense. It is faster, dryer (living in the UK), you can carry loads of stuff and it looks cooler. Apart from the fact that filling up my car cost me about 100£.

My walk from home into office is 1.5miles or 25min. First it hurt, then my kids played up, then my shoes needed replacement and finally it became my secret weapon.

Here it goes:

  • The first 10min of every walk somehow suck.
  • After 10min I start day-dreaming. Ideas start to emerge.
  • At the beginning, the 1.5miles felt very long. Now, they feel very short.
  • Starting the day with a walk improves cognitive function.
  • I sleep better. I am gaining from all sorts of health benefits (boosts immune function, burning off calories, improves heart health, reduces stress levels, etc.)

The best part of it is that I have all sorts of thoughts and ideas. Sometimes my minds takes me to old events, for reflection. Sometimes my mind takes me into the future, with new ideas.
